Nintendo 64 Games Online – 994 N64 Classics
The Nintendo 64 (1996) is the console that worked out how 3D games should control: Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and GoldenEye 007 set the templates that platformers, adventure games and console shooters still follow. Past Play hosts 994 N64 games in the browser, including the four-player staples – Mario Kart 64, Super Smash Bros., Mario Party – and Rare’s run of Banjo-Kazooie, Diddy Kong Racing and Perfect Dark.
N64 emulation is the heaviest on this site: the games run well on a desktop or laptop from the last few years, and a gamepad with an analogue stick is strongly recommended for the 3D titles (the keyboard mapping puts the stick on the arrow keys and the C-buttons on I/J/K/L). Give a game a few seconds to compile its shaders on first load; after that it runs at full speed and save states work as normal.
