Atari 7800 Games Online – 66 ProSystem Games
The Atari 7800 (1986) was Atari’s answer to the NES – backwards compatible with the 2600 and built for arcade conversions. Its library is mostly near-perfect ports of early-80s arcade hits: Ms. Pac-Man, Joust, Galaga, Dig Dug, Xevious, Centipede, Food Fight, Robotron: 2084, Asteroids – plus originals like Ninja Golf, Ballblazer and Alien Brigade. The 7800 used a two-button joystick, mapped to the arrow keys with Z and X. Several cartridges include the arcade game’s difficulty options on the console’s switches, which the emulator exposes from its menu. Games load instantly and save states are available, though these arcade conversions are best played the way they were designed – for a score.
