Atari Jaguar Games Online โ 57 Jaguar Games
Atari’s last console, the Jaguar (1993), was marketed as the first 64-bit system and remembered mostly for its numeric keypad controller. Its library is short but has a handful of games worth playing today: Tempest 2000 (Jeff Minter’s remake, still the best version), Alien vs Predator, the original Rayman, the Jaguar ports of Doom and Wolfenstein 3D, Iron Soldier, Super Burnout and Atari Karts. Past Play hosts 57 Jaguar games in the browser.
The Jaguar pad had three face buttons plus the keypad; the face buttons map to Z, X and C and the keypad to the number keys, with Option and Pause on Enter and Shift. Jaguar emulation is more demanding than the 16-bit shelves and benefits from a desktop browser. Save states are available on every game โ useful, since the original hardware had no memory card and most games relied on passwords.
