Sega 32X Games Online – 118 32X Games
The 32X (1994) was Sega’s mushroom-shaped add-on that gave the Genesis two 32-bit processors for a year before the Saturn made it redundant. Only about forty games were released, but several are worth the visit: Knuckles’ Chaotix (the only Sonic-series game on the system), Virtua Racing Deluxe, Star Wars Arcade, the 32X ports of Doom and Virtua Fighter, Kolibri, and arcade-faithful versions of Space Harrier and After Burner. Past Play hosts 118 32X games in the browser, which is most of the library.
32X games use the standard Genesis pad – three or six buttons on the keyboard or a gamepad – and run on the Genesis emulator core with the 32X hardware enabled, so they are a little heavier than plain Genesis titles. Save states are available on every game. If you have played the Genesis versions of Doom or Virtua Racing, the 32X versions are the ones to compare them against.
