Game description:

Worms Armageddon for the Nintendo 64 (released in 2000) brings Team17’s legendary turn-based artillery tactics to the console. Lead your squad of heavily armed invertebrates into explosive combat across fully destructible, delightfully absurd landscapes. With an iconic arsenal ranging from the classic Bazooka and Holy Hand Grenade to the devastating Super Sheep, you must outmaneuver and obliterate opposing teams before they wipe you out.

How to Play

Your objective is to eliminate all enemy worms to win the match. On the Nintendo 64, movement and aiming are handled with the D-pad or Analog Stick. Press A to select weapons and fire (hold to build power for projectile weapons), and use B to jump or cancel selections. Pay close attention to wind direction and strength when using weapons like the Bazooka, as it dramatically affects the trajectory.

Tips

  • Master the Ninja Rope: The Ninja Rope is one of the most powerful mobility tools in the game. Use it to swing across the map, drop dynamite from above, and retreat to safety in a single turn.
  • Use the terrain: Use the Blowtorch or Pneumatic Drill not just to attack enemies below, but to carve out bunkers where you’re protected from incoming fire and air strikes.
  • Watch the water level: If a worm falls into the water, they instantly drown regardless of health. Pushing or blasting an enemy into the drink using a well-placed Baseball Bat or Shotgun blast is often more efficient than wearing down their HP.
