Chopper Attack is a 3D helicopter action shooter released for the Nintendo 64 in 1997 by SETA Corporation. Taking cues from arcade shooters and the classic Strike series, players pilot heavily armed choppers across open environments to destroy enemy bases, escort allies, and rescue prisoners of war.
How to play
Use the analog stick (mapped to the arrow keys) to steer your helicopter, and adjust your altitude and strafe using the C-buttons (typically mapped to WASD or IJKL). Fire your primary machine gun and deploy secondary weapons like homing missiles and cluster bombs to clear out tanks, anti-aircraft guns, and enemy aircraft. Landing to rescue POWs will repair your armor and provide score bonuses.
Tips
- Prioritize destroying SAM sites and anti-aircraft installations before engaging slower ground targets to minimize incoming damage.
- Save your heavy ordnance for boss encounters and heavily fortified bases; rely on your infinite machine gun ammo for scattered infantry and light vehicles.
