Blast Corps is a 1997 action-puzzle game for the Nintendo 64, developed by Rare and published by Nintendo. A nuclear missile carrier with a failed braking system is rolling toward populated areas, and your job is to demolish every structure in its path before it gets there â using a roster of vehicles that ranges from bulldozers and ramming rigs to lumbering combat mechs.
How to Play
Each level drops you into an open map with a selection of demolition machines. Locate the buildings blocking the carrier’s route and flatten them before the carrier arrives. Beyond those critical obstacles, every map hides bonus structures and stranded scientists: demolishing everything and rescuing all the scientists earns a gold medal. Vehicles are scattered across each stage, so hopping between machines mid-level is often the fastest route to full clearance.
Controls
- Move / Steer: Arrow keys
- A button (action / accelerate): Z
- B button (reverse / back): X
- Start: Enter
- L / R shoulder: Q / E
Tips
- Study the level map to trace the carrier’s full route before moving â clearing obstacles in order prevents wasted backtracking across the map.
- Match your vehicle to the job: the Ramdozer excels at pushing obstacles forward, while the Backlash’s sideways ram handles structures the dozer can’t reach head-on.
- A gold medal requires demolishing every building on the map, not just those in the carrier’s direct path â sweep the whole level after securing the route.
