Blaster Master 2 is a 1993 action-platformer published by Sunsoft exclusively for the Sega Genesis. A sequel to the acclaimed NES original, the game follows Jason and his armoured combat vehicle SOPHIA through a series of stages that blend two distinct perspectives: side-scrolling sections where you drive and fight in the tank, and top-down segments where Jason dismounts and ventures into underground structures on foot. It was released only in North America.
How to Play
In the side-scrolling sections, pilot SOPHIA â jump gaps, fire at enemies, and find entry points to advance. Whenever you reach a structure hatch, control shifts to Jason on foot in a top-down overhead view; here he is more exposed, so move deliberately and clear rooms before pushing deeper.
