Game description:

Road Rash II is a 1992 motorcycle combat-racing game by Electronic Arts for the Sega Genesis. Unlike a straightforward racer, it puts brawling at the centre: you punch, kick, and swing weapons at rival bikers as you race across long highway routes, and thinning the field ahead of you matters as much as clean cornering. Police appear on some routes as an additional hazard to avoid.

How to Play

Accelerate with D-pad up (↑), brake with down (↓), and steer with left and right (← →). The A, B, and C buttons — S, X, and Z on keyboard — handle melee attacks and supplemental braking. When a rider goes down, ride over their dropped weapon to equip it: a chain or club gives you reach without needing to pull perfectly alongside. Finish each race in a paying position to collect prize money, then spend it on a faster bike to unlock harder circuits.

Tips

  • Attack riders ahead of you rather than behind — clearing the path is more valuable than punishing followers.
  • When police appear, accelerate past them rather than braking; being caught costs both time and prize money.
  • Upgrade your bike before tackling later circuits. Under-powered bikes let the AI pull out of your attack range entirely, making combat tactics unworkable.
