Game description:

Teddy Boy Blues is a colourful action-platform game developed and published by Sega, originally released in arcades in 1985 and brought to the Sega Genesis in 1992. You guide a young boy across single-screen stages packed with platforms, shooting the creatures that swarm in from every angle. Hit one and it collapses into a playing card — collect it quickly before it falls off the bottom of the stage, or it returns as a ghost that is far harder to remove. That card-collection loop gives the game a rhythm all its own, distinct from the average run-and-jump platformer.

How to play

Use the D-pad (arrow keys) to move across platforms. The three Genesis action buttons map to Z (C button), X (B button), and S (A button) on keyboard. Press Enter to start or pause the game.

Tips

  • Grab each playing card the moment the enemy drops it — a missed card reappears as a ghost and stays on the stage until you clear it.
  • Work from the top of the screen downward; enemies above you are the hardest to dodge when the stage is already busy.
  • Keep circling the platforms rather than planting your feet to aim — staying mobile keeps escape routes open.
