Mega Man Legends is a 1997 3D action-adventure game developed and published by Capcom for the Nintendo 64. Breaking away from traditional side-scrolling platformers, it introduces Mega Man Volnutt as a Digger exploring the subterranean ruins of Kattelox Island to recover Quantum Refractors while defending the local town from the pirate Bonne family.

How to Play

Navigate the island surface and underground ruins in third-person view. Use your Buster Arm and customizable Special Weapons to defeat ancient Reaverbots, collect Zenny and crafting parts, and bring ruin items back to Roll Casket to upgrade your gear. Default browser controls map the Nintendo 64 analog stick and D-pad to the Arrow Keys. Press Z to fire your main weapon, X to jump, C or A to activate your Special Weapon, and Enter to open the menu and inventory.

Tips

Bring junk parts to Roll: Collect mechanical items and Refractors from destroyed Reaverbots and chest locations in the ruins. Roll can assemble new Special Weapons and upgrade Buster range, energy, and rapid-fire stats in the Flutter workshop.
Master strafe-firing: Keep moving laterally around larger bosses like the Mariko or Bonne mechs to avoid incoming homing rockets and energy blasts while keeping your target locked.
Donate to island repair: After battle damage occurs in Kattelox City, invest Zenny into rebuilding damaged structures to unlock new shop items and character interactions.
