Virtual Bart is a mini-game collection developed by Sculptured Software and published by Acclaim for the SNES in 1994. In the game, Bart Simpson visits a virtual reality exhibition at the school science fair, which places him into a series of six distinct, challenging virtual worlds. You will need to master different play styles across the levels, from riding a post-apocalyptic motorcycle and escaping a pork processing plant as a pig, to swinging through the trees as Baby Bart and throwing tomatoes at classmates.
How to play
Your objective is to complete all six virtual reality simulations without losing all your lives. The controls vary slightly between the mini-games, but generally use the directional buttons to move and aim. The action buttons (mapped to Z and X) are used to jump, accelerate, or attack depending on the level. The SNES controller’s shoulder buttons (Q and E) and additional action buttons (A and S) are also utilized for specific mechanics like throwing projectiles.

Tips
- Each mini-game has completely different mechanics. The water slide level requires quick reflexes and memorizing the upcoming forks to avoid dead ends and hazards.
- The tomato-throwing level relies on judging distance and timing your throws from the background to hit classmates in the foreground.
- In the Mount Trashmore motorcycle stage, focus on staying on the road and dodging obstacles rather than just fighting the other riders.
