🎮 Play Sonic the Hedgehog (USA, Europe) [Hack by Puto v1.1] (~Sonic Remastered) Online (Sega Genesis)

Sonic the Hedgehog (Sonic Remastered) is an enhanced Sega Genesis ROM hack created by Puto, based on Sega’s original 1991 high-speed platformer. This fan remaster introduces iconic gameplay mechanics from later Sonic entries—including the Spin Dash from Sonic 2 and the Super Peel-Out from Sonic CD—into the original 16-bit levels, providing a faster and smoother browser-playable platforming experience.

How to Play

Guide Sonic through classic zones full of loops, springs, hazards, and Dr. Robotnik’s badniks. Reach the goal signpost at the end of each act while collecting rings to protect Sonic from damage.

Browser Controls

• D-Pad (Move / Crouch / Look Up): Arrow Keys

• Spin Dash: Hold Down + Press Z, X, or C, then release Down
• Super Peel-Out: Hold Up + Press Z, X, or C, then release Up

Tips

• Utilize the Spin Dash: Use the newly added Spin Dash to instantly blast up steep ramps or through dense groups of enemies without needing a running start.
• Maintain Ring Safety: Carrying at least one ring keeps Sonic safe from single-hit knockouts, giving you a chance to retrieve scattered rings after taking damage.
• Collect Special Stage Emeralds: Finish an act with 50 or more rings to reveal the giant warp ring at the end signpost and attempt the rotating Special Stage for a Chaos Emerald.
