Game description:

Developed by Konami in 1993, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters is a competitive 2D fighting game for the SNES that pits the heroes in a half-shell against classic villains and each other. Built on a fast-paced fighting engine reminiscent of the era’s arcade giants, it features a unique Mutagen meter that allows characters to unleash devastating super moves when fully charged.

How to play

The objective is to deplete your opponent’s health bar in best-of-three, one-on-one matches across Story, Versus, and Tournament modes. The game uses a classic four-button attack layout for light and heavy strikes.

shoulder buttons L, R Q, E
SELECT Shift

Tips

  • Keep an eye on your green Mutagen gauge at the bottom of the screen. Once it fills and starts flashing, you can execute your character’s ultimate Mutagen attack to deal massive damage.
  • Each turtle has a distinct playstyle. Leonardo is a well-rounded fighter with a solid projectile, while Raphael is focused on aggressive, close-range rushdown tactics.
  • Defense is just as important as offense. Hold back or down-back on the directional pad to block incoming attacks, then counter when your opponent leaves themselves open.
