Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters is a competitive 2D fighting game released by Konami in 1993. Although versions were released across multiple consoles, the SNES edition is widely regarded as the definitive release, built on an entirely unique engine that plays similarly to Street Fighter II. Players select from the four turtles, Shredder, and various other mutants in fast-paced martial arts combat featuring special moves, a super meter, and intense combo mechanics.
How to Play
Defeat your opponent in best-of-three rounds by depleting their health bar. You can perform standard strikes and string together character-specific special moves using directional inputs.
- Movement: Arrow Keys
- Light Punch / Light Kick: Z / X
- Heavy Punch / Heavy Kick: A / S
- Start / Select: Enter / Shift
Tips
- Familiarise yourself with each character’s special move inputs; for example, Leonardo and Aska are excellent for beginners due to their straightforward, projectile-heavy move sets.
- Fill the green Mutagen meter at the bottom of the screen by dealing or taking damage. Once flashing, press both Heavy attacks simultaneously to unleash a devastating Ultimate Attack.
