Game description:

Super Donkey Kong is the original Japanese release of the revolutionary 1994 platformer Donkey Kong Country, developed by Rare for the Super Famicom (SNES). The game introduced stunning pre-rendered 3D graphics to the 16-bit era, challenging players to run, jump, and barrel-blast through Donkey Kong Island to reclaim their stolen banana hoard from King K. Rool.

How to Play

Take control of Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong as you navigate increasingly difficult platforming stages. Donkey Kong is stronger and can defeat heavier enemies with his ground slap, while Diddy is faster, more agile, and jumps further. In your browser, use the Arrow Keys to move, Z to run or roll (SNES Y), X to jump (SNES B), and S to tag between the two Kongs (SNES A).

Tips

  • Find the Animal Buddies: Keep an eye out for wooden animal crates. Riding Rambi the Rhino or Enguarde the Swordfish will make traversing levels much easier and help you uncover secret areas.
  • Roll and Jump: You can roll off a ledge and still jump in mid-air. Mastering this technique is essential for crossing wide gaps and reaching hidden bonus barrels throughout the game.
