Final Fight 3 is a classic 1995 side-scrolling beat ’em up developed by Capcom for the SNES. Mayor Mike Haggar and Guy return to clean up the streets of Metro City, joined by two new fighters: special crimes unit detective Lucia and former street fighter Dean. The game introduces new mechanics to the series, including dashing, branching paths, and a Super Mega Crash meter that unleashes devastating special attacks. Uniquely for a console brawler of its era, it also features an “Auto 2P” mode where a CPU-controlled partner fights alongside you.
How to Play
Your goal is to fight your way through the Skull Cross gang across various stages in Metro City. You can play solo, with a local friend, or alongside an AI-controlled partner.
- Movement: Arrow Keys
- Attack (Y): S
- Jump (B): X
- Special Attack (A/X): Z or A (Drains a small amount of health)
- Start: Enter
- Select: Shift
Tips
- Use the Super Meter: Your meter fills up as you deal damage. Once it flashes “SUPER”, grab an enemy and press the required command (usually a forward motion plus attack) to unleash a powerful, high-damage move that doesn’t cost health.
- Manage Crowds with Dash Attacks: Double-tap left or right to dash. Pressing attack while dashing performs a quick strike that is excellent for knocking down groups of enemies approaching from one side.
- Look for Alternate Routes: Pay attention to breakable background elements, such as doors or signs. Destroying these can sometimes reveal hidden branching paths with different stages and bosses.
