Shanghai II: Dragon’s Eye is Activision’s 1990 Sega Genesis adaptation of the classic Mahjong solitaire puzzle game. Players match pairs of unblocked identical tiles to clear intricate board layouts, featuring traditional Mahjong sets and themed tile arrangements alongside specialized modes like Dragon’s Eye.
How to Play
Select identical matching tiles that have at least one free left or right side and no tiles covering them directly. Clearing matching pairs reveals lower layers and opens up adjacent tiles. The goal is to clear the entire board before running out of valid moves. Use the directional pad (Arrow keys) to move the cursor across the tile layout and press A or B (S or X keys) to select and match tiles. Press Start (Enter) to pause or access game options.
Tips
Focus on unblocking tall stacks and long rows early, as deep tiles limit your movement options later in the game. Prioritize matching tiles that free up multiple locked pieces rather than taking obvious matches on the outer edges right away.
