Glover is a unique 3D puzzle-platformer released in 1998 for the Nintendo 64. Developed by Interactive Studios, you take on the role of a magical four-fingered glove tasked with restoring the Crystal Kingdom. Instead of just jumping on enemies, your primary focus is carefully guiding, rolling, and bouncing a magical ball through perilous obstacles and diverse themed worlds.
How to Play
Your objective is to safely navigate the ball to the goal at the end of each stage. If the ball is destroyed or falls off the edge, you lose a life. By default in the browser emulator, use the Arrow keys to move. Press X and Z to jump and interact with the ball, while the A, S, Q, and W keys typically map to the C-buttons and Z-trigger for camera control and special moves. Use Enter to pause the game.
Tips
- Master the ball forms: You can cast a spell to change the ball into a bowling ball (heavy and sinks in water), a bouncy crystal ball (fragile), or a regular rubber ball. Switch forms depending on the puzzle you face.
- Scout ahead: If you are unsure about the path forward, leave the ball in a safe spot and explore the area as just the glove.
- Practice throwing: Sometimes you need to throw the ball over gaps or up ledges. Get comfortable with the throwing mechanics early on, as later levels require precise aim.
