Stick Hunter: Exciting Ice Hockey is a sports game released for the Famicom (NES) in 1987. Developed by Micronics and published exclusively in Japan, it holds the distinction of being the first ice hockey title on Nintendo’s 8-bit console. You can choose from eight international teamsโ€”including Japan, Canada, the USA, and the USSRโ€”and adjust both the match duration and CPU difficulty before hitting the ice.

How to Play

The objective is to outscore the opposing team before time runs out. Use the D-pad (mapped to your Arrow Keys) to skate. Passing and shooting mechanics are strictly directional; your player must face the exact way you want the puck to travel. Press the A or B buttons (Z and X on your keyboard) to pass, shoot, or check opponents to steal the puck on defense. Press Start (Enter) to pause.
