Developed by Apollo in 1982 for the Atari 2600, this fast-paced fixed shooter puts you in the boots of a spaceship commander defending a landing site. Inspired by arcade classics like Demon Attack, you must survive against waves of hostile aliens as the game steadily ramps up the difficulty.
How to play
Move your commander left and right along the bottom of the screen to dodge incoming fire and blast the hovering Electrosauri. Be ready to shoot sideways as well, as shaggy Marsupods will periodically rush you from the edges. You can play using a connected gamepad or the keyboard (Arrow keys and Spacebar for player one; T, G, F, H, and A for player two).
Tips
- Stay near the center of the screen when possible to give yourself more time to react to the side-rushing Marsupods, which are worth 200 points each.
- The Electrosauri attacks intensify the longer you survive, so focus on clearing them aggressively before they can overwhelm your safe zones.
