Stay Frosty is an action platformer for the Atari 2600, published by AtariAge in 2007. One of many homebrew titles released for classic Atari hardware long after the console’s commercial run, it packs action, platform, and puzzle elements into a game built around precise movement — shifting platforms, enemy timing, and layouts that punish impulsive jumps and reward a careful read of each screen. No installation needed: it runs in the browser via emulation.
How to play
Navigate each stage’s platform layout to progress. Move with the arrow keys; Spacebar fires the joystick trigger for any in-game action. Pause before committing to a jump — platforms travel fixed paths and enemies reverse on a set pattern. Read the screen first, then move. At the title screen, use F11 to choose a game mode or difficulty and F12 to reset at any point.
