Game description:

Lemmings is a classic puzzle-strategy game developed by DMA Design, brought to the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1992. The iconic title tasks players with guiding hordes of mindless, green-haired rodents safely through increasingly perilous, trap-filled levels.

How to Play

The objective is to assign specific skillsโ€”like digging, building, climbing, or blockingโ€”to individual Lemmings to clear a path to the exit for the rest of the group before time runs out. Since the Lemmings walk blindly forward into danger, strategic planning is essential to save the required number of rodents per stage. In the browser, the SNES controls use the D-pad (mapped to arrow keys) to move your cursor, while the face buttons (mapped to Z, X, A, S) assign skills and confirm choices. Use Start (Enter) to pause the action.

Tips

  • Pause often: Use the pause feature to safely assess the level layout and plan your skill assignments before the Lemmings march into a trap.
  • Use Blockers wisely: A well-placed Blocker can save the entire group from walking off a ledge, giving you time to build a safe path. You can free them later by blowing them up or digging the ground beneath them.
