Front Line is a top-down military action game developed by Taito, ported to the Atari 2600 from the company’s 1982 arcade original. You control a lone soldier advancing through enemy infantry toward an enemy base â staying on the move while returning fire. It was one of the earlier military-themed action games to reach a home console.
How to play
Move with the joystick; your soldier faces and fires in the direction you push. Player 1 fires with Spacebar. A second player can join: TGFH to move, A to fire. F11 cycles game variants, F12 resets, Alt+P pauses.
Tips
- Keep moving â a stationary soldier is an easy target.
- Point the joystick toward your target before pressing the trigger; your soldier fires in the direction they face.
