Batman Forever (Japan) is the Japanese release of the 1995 beat ’em up for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Developed by Probe Entertainment, the game adapts the hit film and sets itself apart from standard brawlers by using a fighting game engine. You play as either Batman or Robin, fighting your way through Gotham City to foil the plans of Two-Face and The Riddler.
How to play: Navigate through the levels and defeat waves of thugs to progress. Because of its fighting game roots, the controls are unique for the genre. In the browser, use the arrow keys to move. The SNES action buttons (Y, X, B, A) are mapped to your keyboard’s Z, X, A, and S keys, controlling high and low punches and kicks. Use Enter for Start and Shift for Select.
Tips: The key to surviving is treating the combat like a one-on-one fighting game. Rather than simply mashing attack buttons, use specific directional inputs combined with attacks to deploy gadgets and perform special moves. Also, keep in mind that jumping is executed by pressing Up on the D-pad rather than a dedicated button.
