Sky Diver is a two-player action game developed by Atari and released for the Atari 2600 in 1978. You compete to jump from an aircraft, free-fall as long as possible, and deploy your parachute just in time to hit a landing pad.
How to Play
You earn points based on how late you deploy your parachute and how closely you land to the center of your pad. A wind blows across the screen, requiring you to steer your diver during descent to ensure an accurate, safe landing. Player 1 uses the Arrow Keys to steer and the Spacebar to jump and open the chute. Player 2 uses T/G/F/H to steer and A to jump and pull the cord. Use F11 to select different game variations and F12 to reset the game.
Tips
Wait as long as possible before pulling your ripcord to maximize your score, but keep a close eye on the windsock at the bottom of the screen to gauge wind speed and direction. If you fail to open the parachute in time or drift off the screen, you will crash and earn no points for that jump.
