Developed by Tose and published by Bandai in 1985, Chubby Cherub is an early action-platformer for the NES. Originally based on a Japanese manga but modified for its Western release, you play as a flying angel tasked with navigating dangerous neighborhoods to rescue your kidnapped friends.
How to Play
Your main objective is to fly through each side-scrolling stage and reach your friend at the end. You must maintain your flight gauge by eating food scattered in the air; if the meter empties, you fall to the ground where you are highly vulnerable to enemies. Use your heart projectiles to defend yourself.

Tips
- Stay airborne: Walking limits your mobility and makes you an easy target. Always prioritize collecting fruit and candy to keep your flight meter full.
- Conserve your shots: You use hearts as projectiles to defeat dogs and cats, but your ammunition is limited to the number of hearts you have picked up. Aim carefully.
- Watch your altitude: Dogs can jump up to catch you if you fly too low. Maintain a safe distance when passing over enemies on the ground.
