Bump’n’Jump is a classic top-down vehicular combat game ported to the NES, originally developed as an arcade title by Data East. You drive at high speeds along hazardous roads, dodging obstacles and aggressively bumping enemy vehicles into the scenery to score points.
How to Play
Your objective is to survive each course by bumping rival cars off the road and leaping over large gaps in the terrain. For this NES web emulator version, the default controls are the Arrow keys for steering (D-pad), Z/X to accelerate and jump (A/B buttons), with Enter for Start and Shift for Select.
Tips
- Pay attention to the exclamation mark warningsโthey signal that a jump over a water gap is immediately approaching.
- Bumping an enemy car into a wall awards you points, but landing directly on top of them after a jump gives an even larger point bonus.
- If you complete a level without destroying any enemy vehicles, you receive a massive pacifist bonus, though this requires very precise driving.
