Astyanax is a side-scrolling action-platformer released for the NES in 1990 by Jaleco. You play as a high school student summoned to the fantasy realm of Remlia to rescue Princess Rosebud from the evil wizard Blackhorn. How to Play
Your objective is to fight your way through monster-filled stages, defeating a boss at the end of each to progress. Use the D-pad (arrow keys in the browser) to move and crouch. Press A (Z) to jump and B (X) to attack with your weapon. You also have a magic meter; press Up and B (Up + X) simultaneously to unleash a spell, which consumes magic points. Press Start (Enter) to pause and select different magic spells.

- Your weapon’s attack power and range increase as it upgrades. Prioritize collecting weapon power-ups and avoid taking damage to maintain your advantage.
