Game description:

Zen-Nihon Pro Wrestling – Fight da Pon! is a Japanese-exclusive Super Famicom game released in 1994, developed by Natsume. Rather than a traditional wrestling simulator, it plays as a unique blend of a board game and card-based fighter featuring real All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW) stars rendered in a super-deformed “chibi” art style. Players navigate a board and use cards with timed button presses to execute moves against their opponents.

How to Play

Because the game relies heavily on Japanese text and card mechanics, some trial and error is necessary to understand the menus and combat flow. It uses the standard Super Nintendo controller layout: use the D-pad (Arrow Keys) to navigate the board, and A/B/X/Y (Z/X/A/S) along with Start (Enter) and Select (Shift) to select cards and perform actions during wrestling matches.

Tips

  • Pay close attention to the timing during combat; successfully executing moves relies on timed button presses when using your cards.
  • The scenario mode is the primary way to play through individual wrestler storylines and unlock further content.
