Zakuro no Aji (Taste of Pomegranate) is a 1995 horror visual novel developed by Imagineer for the Super Famicom. The story follows a protagonist named Domon and his fellow office employees who become trapped when a massive earthquake causes their five-story building to sink underground. To survive the bizarre events that follow, you must guide the group through the dark structure and find a way back to the surface.
How to Play
As a traditional visual novel, gameplay consists of reading text set against atmospheric static backgrounds and making critical choices that branch the story. Use the D-pad to select options and the A button to confirm (mapped to the arrow keys and the X key in your browser). Note that as a Japan-exclusive release, the text is entirely in Japanese.
