Game description:

WWF Attitude is a professional wrestling game released for the Nintendo 64 in 1999, developed by Iguana West and published by Acclaim. Building on the foundation of its predecessor, this title features a roster of over 40 wrestlers from the height of the “Attitude Era,” including icons like Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, and Mankind. It introduces full 3D arenas, a deep Create-A-Wrestler mode, and extensive voice commentary. This is the German localized release.

How to Play

Your goal is to wear down your opponent’s health meter to secure a pinfall or submission. The game uses a fighting game-style grapple system rather than simple arcade button presses. After initiating a tie-up, you must input specific directional combinations followed by an attack button to execute moves. In the browser emulator, the N64 controller generally maps the D-pad and analog stick to your Arrow keys, A and B to X and Z, and Start to Enter.

Tips

  • Learn the combos: Because moves require specific button sequences from a tie-up, button mashing will not work. Pause the game to check your wrestler’s move list.
  • Use taunts strategically: Taunting builds your momentum meter, but leaves you vulnerable. Use them only when your opponent is knocked down outside the ring.
  • Time your finishers: Finishing moves can only be successfully performed when your opponent’s health meter is fully depleted and flashing red.
