Game description:

World Heroes Perfect is a fast-paced fighting game developed by ADK and published by SNK for the Neo Geo arcade hardware in 1995. As the fourth and final entry in the World Heroes series, it abandons the traditional tournament structure of its predecessors in favor of a refined, highly competitive combat system. Featuring a diverse roster of time-traveling historical fighters, the game introduces the explosive Hero Gauge mechanic, cementing its reputation as a standout competitive title of the 1990s arcade era.

How to Play

Your objective is to defeat your opponent in best-of-three, one-on-one combat using strikes, throws, and character-specific special attacks. The game’s defining feature is the Hero Gauge at the bottom of the screen. As you land hits, block attacks, or take damage, the gauge fills up, granting you the ability to unleash enhanced MAX special moves and giving you a defensive buff that prevents you from being stunned.

By default, use the Arrow Keys to move, jump, and block (by holding away from your opponent). Press Shift to insert a coin and Enter to start. During combat, use Z for light punch, X for light kick, A for strong punch, and S for strong kick. You can also dash by quickly double-tapping forward or backward.

Gameplay Tips

  • Unleash Ultimate Attacks: When your health bar is low and flashing red, you gain access to powerful desperation moves. If your health is low and your Hero Gauge is full, these turn into even more devastating super attacks.
  • Use the ABC Special: Every fighter has a unique special move performed by pressing light punch, light kick, and strong punch (Z + X + A) at the same time. These are highly versatile and often serve as excellent surprise attacks or anti-air defenses.
  • Master Air Blocking: You can block while in the air by holding back or down-back. Use this to safely close the distance against opponents who rely heavily on projectiles.
