Game description:

Top Gear 2 is a fast-paced racing game developed by Gremlin Interactive and released for the Sega Genesis in 1993. Building on the original’s popular split-screen formula, it introduces a comprehensive upgrade system where players race across 64 international tracks, earning prize money to improve their car’s performance.

How to play

Finish high enough in each race to qualify for the next circuit and earn money for upgrades. Steer your car with the arrow keys, and use S, X, and Z (mapped to the Genesis A, B, and C buttons) to accelerate, brake, and deploy nitrous boosts. Press Enter to start or pause.

Tips

  • Manage your nitrous: You start with a limited number of boosts per race. Save them for long straightaways or to quickly recover top speed after a collision.
  • Prioritize upgrades: Focus your early winnings on improving your engine and tires. Better acceleration and grip will help you qualify more consistently than armor.
