Developed by Silicon & Synapse and released for the Sega Genesis in 1992, The Lost Vikings is an inventive puzzle-platformer built around character swapping. You control three distinct heroesโErik the Swift, Baleog the Fierce, and Olaf the Stoutโwho have been abducted by the alien emperor Tomator. Escaping requires using their unique abilities in tandem, switching between them to solve environmental puzzles and defeat enemies.
How to Play
Your objective in every stage is to guide all three vikings safely to the exit. If even one viking dies, you must restart the level. You will need to switch between them constantly to leverage their specific skills: Erik can jump and dash, Baleog attacks with his sword and bow, and Olaf can block threats with his shield or use it to glide.

Tips
- Olaf can hold his shield above his head, allowing Erik to jump on it to reach higher platforms.
- Baleog’s arrows are not just for combat; you can use them to hit out-of-reach switches and open doors from safety.
- Always make sure the vikings you leave behind are in a safe spot, as off-screen enemies can still wander in and kill them while you are controlling someone else.
