Game description:

Super Gomoku Shougi – Jouseki Kenkyuu Hen is a traditional Japanese board game compilation released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1994. Focused on classical strategy, the title serves as a study tool allowing players to practice standard opening formulas (joseki) for both Gomoku (Five in a Row) and Shogi (Japanese Chess).

How to Play

In Gomoku, the objective is to be the first to form an unbroken line of five of your stones horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. In Shogi, the goal is to checkmate the opponent’s king using a variety of unique pieces and the ability to drop captured enemy pieces back onto the board. Use the D-pad (mapped to arrow keys) to navigate the board and menus, press A (X) to confirm your moves, and B (Z) to cancel or go back.
