Super C – Hell Hack is an intense run-and-gun ROM hack created by Finisher in 2013 for the NES. Building on the classic Contra sequel, this modification significantly ramps up the difficulty by throwing relentless waves of enemies at you through redesigned stages. While the visual palettes and level layouts have been altered to provide a fresh, punishing experience, you are given a slight boost in movement speed to help you survive the onslaught.
How to Play
Your objective is to blast your way through enemy lines, survive the brutal alien forces, and defeat the boss at the end of each stage. Use the Arrow keys to move and aim in eight directions, press X to jump, and Z to shoot. Press Enter to start the game or pause.
Tips
- Unlike the original game, you do not lose your equipped weapon when you lose a life. Grab the Spread Gun (S) as soon as possible and you can safely rely on it for the rest of your run.
- Take advantage of your slightly increased movement speed to aggressively dodge incoming fire, as standing still will quickly get you overwhelmed by the sheer number of enemies.
