In Lazy Jones, a 1984 DOS action platformer by Terminal Software, you play as a hotel janitor who would rather slack off than do his job. Navigating the three floors of the hotel, you sneak into various rooms to play 15 different arcade-style mini-games, many of which parody classics like Space Invaders and Frogger. While traversing the hallways between rooms, you have to avoid the hotel manager, a haunted cleaning cart, and other hazards that cost you a life upon contact.
How to play
Your main objective is to visit all the rooms and play the mini-games inside without getting caught in the corridors. For the DOS version, use the arrow keys to move Jones and the Spacebar or Enter key to interact with doors and play the mini-games.
Tips
- Not every room contains a game; some like the closet or the bar are just decorative, so don’t linger if there’s nothing to interact with.
- The enemies in the hallway follow predictable patrol patterns, so wait near the elevator or inside a room until the path is clear before making your move.
