Pinball is a classic arcade-style game developed by Nintendo and released for the NES in 1985. As one of the system’s early releases, it successfully brought the authentic cabinet experience to home consoles, featuring a dual-screen table layout, responsive physics, and a hidden breakout-style bonus stage starring Mario.
How to Play
The objective is to score as many points as possible by keeping the ball in play while hitting various bumpers, targets, and card slots. The standard NES controls apply in the browser: use the arrow keys (D-pad) and the Z and X keys (A and B buttons) to operate the left and right flippers, and press Enter (Start) to pause.
Tips
- Lighting up all the playing cards in the upper screen to spell “PINBALL” will increase your bonus multiplier and activate a stopper post between your bottom flippers.
- If your ball drops into the designated bonus hole, you will enter a secret minigame where you control Mario. Use his platform to bounce the ball and rescue Pauline for massive extra points.
