Game description:

Paperboy 2 is an action game released for the NES in 1992 by Tengen and Mindscape. Building on the arcade classic, this sequel introduces the option to play as either a Paperboy or a Papergirl. You must survive a week of navigating suburban streets, tossing newspapers into subscribers’ mailboxes while vandalizing the properties of non-subscribers and dodging wild hazards like runaway ghosts, gargoyles, and loose tires.

How to Play

Your goal is to complete your daily route without losing all your lives. A perfect delivery day earns you new subscribers, but missing houses or causing damage to a subscriber’s property will cost you their business. Unlike the first game, houses are on both sides of the street.

  • D-pad: Steer, accelerate (Up), or brake (Down)
  • A Button: Throw a paper to the right
  • B Button: Throw a paper to the left

Note: If you are playing in a browser, the NES D-pad maps to your arrow keys, and the A and B buttons map to X and Z.

Tips

  • Since you deliver to both sides of the street, try to stay near the middle of the road so you have time to react and throw in either direction.
  • Save your extra papers for breaking windows and stopping obstacles in front of non-subscribers’ houses to rack up bonus points.
  • Look out for special interactive targets like the haunted house or the castle, where a well-aimed paper can trigger unique events.
