Ninja (Japan), released for the Sega Master System in 1986, is a top-down run-and-gun action game adapted from the arcade hit Ninja Princess. As the shinobi Kazamaru, you battle your way through diverse environmentsโfrom grassy fields to castle groundsโon a mission to defeat the tyrant Gyokuro and rescue a captive princess.
How to Play
Your goal is to survive waves of enemies by throwing a continuous stream of darts while navigating perilous terrain. Move Kazamaru with the D-pad (mapped to arrow keys), throw darts with Button 1 (Z), and use your limited invisibility technique with Button 2 (X).
Tips
- You must find all five hidden green scrolls throughout the levels to access the final stage; missing them will cause the game to loop back.
- Save your invisibility for the most difficult enemy formations and boss fights, as its uses are strictly limited.
- Practice attacking enemies diagonally, as approaching from an angle makes it much easier to dodge their direct line of fire.
