WWF WrestleMania: Steel Cage Challenge is a professional wrestling game released for the Sega Master System in 1992 by Flying Edge. It brings the heavy-hitting action of the World Wrestling Federation to the 8-bit console, featuring a roster of popular early-90s superstars and introducing the iconic steel cage match type.
How to Play
Players can compete in standard singles and tag team matches, chase the WWF Championship, or step inside the signature steel cage where the only way to win is by climbing over the top. The Sega Master System controls use the D-pad for movement, Button 1 to punch or grapple, and Button 2 to kick. In the browser emulator, these are typically mapped to the Arrow Keys for movement, Z and X for the action buttons, and Enter for Start. Once locked in a grapple, rapidly press the buttons to overpower your opponent and execute a slam or suplex.
Tips
- In a Steel Cage match, wait until your opponent is knocked down and heavily fatigued before attempting to climb, as they can easily pull you back to the mat if they recover.
- When caught in a tie-up, start mashing the action buttons immediately to gain the upper hand before your opponent can execute their move.
- Use the turnbuckles to your advantage by Irish whipping your opponent into the corner or climbing the ropes for a diving attack when they are grounded.
