Game description:

Mortal Kombat 4 is a classic 3D fighting game released for the Nintendo 64 in 1998. Developed by Midway and ported by Eurocom, it marks the franchise’s first step into 3D graphics while retaining the brutal, fast-paced 2D fighting mechanics the series is known for. Players can choose from a roster of iconic characters, each equipped with their own unique weapons and signature Fatalities to finish off opponents.

How to Play

The objective is to defeat your opponent in best-of-three martial arts matches by depleting their health bar. For this Nintendo 64 emulator in the browser, the controls are typically mapped to your keyboard: use the arrow keys to move, jump, and crouch. The A and B buttons are usually mapped to Z and X for standard attacks, while the C-buttons (often mapped to WASD) control additional strikes and running. Use Enter to start the game.

Tips

  • Each character can draw a unique weapon during the match. However, if you take a hard hit while holding it, the weapon will drop and can be used by your opponent.
  • The game features a Maximum Damage limit that automatically breaks combos if they deal too much damage, so focus on shorter, reliable combos rather than infinite loops.
  • Use the side-step mechanic to dodge projectiles and linear attacks, taking advantage of the 3D movement.
