The Misadventures of Tron Bonne is a 1999 PlayStation action-adventure from Capcom, a prequel spin-off to Mega Man Legends starring the mischievous mechanic and air pirate Tron Bonne. After her brothers Teisel and Bon are kidnapped by the rival pirate Glyde on behalf of loan shark Lex Loath, Tron must raise one million zenny to pay off the debt that financed her family’s airship, the Gesellschaft, and win their freedom back.
How to Play
Rather than one continuous adventure, the game is split across several very different mission types: fast-paced heists and mech battles piloting Tron’s walking tank, the Gustaff; logistics puzzles moving crates and cargo at the harbor docks; and first-person dungeon crawling through the Shala-Kun Ruins with a remote camera drone. In Gustaff missions, use the D-pad (Arrow Keys) for tank-style movement, Square (A) to fire your cannon, L2 (E) to lock onto targets, and R2 (R) to launch a Beacon Bomb that sends your Servbots in to attack or steal from anything nearby.
Tips
- Use Beacon Bombs on loot, not just enemies โ since your entire goal is scraping together a million-zenny ransom, directing Servbots to steal objects is often more valuable than fighting.
- Each of your forty Servbots has its own stats and personality that improve through use, so rotate weaker ones into easier missions instead of always relying on the same few.
- Treat the puzzle and ruins-exploration stages on their own terms โ the crate-logistics and first-person dungeon sections use completely different rules from the Gustaff action missions, so don’t expect the same approach to carry over.
