Mechanized Attack is a 1990 rail shooter for the NES that drops you onto a tropical island fortress to blast through an army of cyborgs and heavily armed machines. Originally an arcade title, it stands out for its fast-paced action and Terminator-inspired enemies that shed their human disguises as they take damage.
How to Play
Your objective is to survive each stage by shooting down waves of robotic soldiers, helicopters, and gunboats before they drain your health. In the browser, the standard NES controls are used to aim and fire:
- Movement / Aiming: Arrow Keys
- Shoot: Z
- Use Grenades: X
- Start: Enter
- Select: Shift
Tips
- Shoot enemy projectiles: You can shoot incoming rockets and grenades out of the air to avoid taking damage.
- Save your explosives: Grenades are highly effective but limited in supply. Reserve them for heavily armored bosses at the end of stages.
- Look for weapon drops: Shooting specific crates and enemies will drop machine gun upgrades that allow for rapid automatic fire.
