Game description:

Released exclusively in Japan in 1993, Mazinger Z brings Go Nagai’s iconic super robot to the Super Famicom (SNES) in a side-scrolling action brawler. Developed by Winkysoft and published by Bandai, the game pits you against Dr. Hell and his army of Mechanical Beasts. It blends heavy, deliberate beat ’em up combat with traditional platforming, letting you unleash the mech’s signature attacks directly from the classic anime.

How to Play

Take control of the legendary mech to battle through waves of enemies and defeat challenging bosses. As an SNES game running in the browser, movement is mapped to your Arrow Keys. The action buttons are tied to Z, X, A, and S (representing the original SNES B, A, Y, and X buttons), allowing you to jump, strike, and fire special weapons like the Rocket Punch. Use Enter for Start and Shift for Select.

Tips

  • Level Select: To skip ahead, wait for the intro sequence to finish. At the title screen, hold down all the action and shoulder buttons (the equivalent of SNES A + B + X + Y + L + R) and press Start (Enter). You can then press Right to choose your starting stage.
