Jumping Cross is a classic motocross racing arcade game developed by SNK and released in 1984. As an early pioneer in the dirt bike racing genre, it challenges players to navigate rugged circuits filled with hills, obstacles, and rival riders. You must carefully manage your speed and bike control to time jumps correctly and reach the finish line before time runs out.
How to Play
Your objective is to complete each dirt track within the time limit while outmaneuvering other racers and avoiding crashes. To play in the browser arcade emulator, press Shift to insert coins and Enter to start. Use the Arrow Keys to steer your bike and manage your pitch in the air, and press Z or X to accelerate and brake.
Tips
- Control your pitch: Just like in later games such as Excitebike, how you land matters. Adjust your bike’s angle in mid-air so both wheels hit the downward slope smoothly to avoid losing speed or crashing.
- Watch your speed on hills: Hitting steep ramps at maximum speed can send you too high, wasting valuable time in the air. Ease off the throttle before massive jumps to stay closer to the ground.
