Knights of the Round is a classic 1991 side-scrolling beat ’em up arcade game developed by Capcom. How to Play
The objective is to fight through seven stages of enemies and bosses. The default arcade controls use a joystick for movement along with an Attack button and a Jump button (typically mapped to arrow keys and Z/X in the browser, with 5 to insert coins and 1 to start). To block enemy attacks, press the Attack button and pull the joystick back away from the enemy. You can also perform a powerful desperation attack by pressing Attack and Jump simultaneously, which clears surrounding enemies but costs a small amount of health.
Tips
- Master the block mechanic; successfully blocking an attack grants you a brief period of invulnerability, allowing you to counterattack safely.
- Strike treasure chests and food items before picking them up. Slashing them will often break them into smaller portions that collectively yield more points (helping you level up faster) or more health overall.
