Hi no Ouji: Yamato Takeru is a 1995 turn-based RPG for the Super Famicom (SNES), developed by Multimedia Intelligence Transfer and published exclusively in Japan by Toho. Based on Toho's 1994 kaiju film Yamato Takeru (known in the West as Orochi: The Eight-Headed Dragon), the game loosely adapts the mythological legend of Prince Ousu. Following a tragic accident where Ousu kills his older brother, he is exiled by his father and embarks on a quest to defeat the Kumaso barbarians, eventually leading to a journey to save the world. The gameplay follows traditional 16-bit RPG design, featuring top-down exploration, town and dungeon navigation, and party-based, turn-based combat.
How to Play
