Fishing Derby is a competitive 1980 action game for the Atari 2600, developed by Activision. Two fishermen sit on opposite docks and race to reel in 99 pounds of fish. The catch? A shark patrols the water below, ready to snap the fish right off your line.
How to play
Your goal is to hook fish and pull them up to the surface without letting the shark eat them. Fish caught deeper in the water are worth more points, but take longer to bring up. The first player to reach 99 points wins the match.

Tips
- Focus on catching fish near the surface when you need a few quick points, as they are faster to pull up and less likely to be intercepted by the shark.
- If the shark is heading straight for your catch, try moving the joystick horizontally to swing the line out of its path before it bites.
